Technical Tips and Information
Always wear rubber gloves and safety glasses during a repair.
When drilling a repair, drill no farther than one and a half of the bur at the end of the bit. Never drill to the laminate.
If heating the glass during a repair, always do so in the vacuum cycle. Glass is a great conductor of heat; use only short burst and never more than warm to the touch.
If you have a stubborn repair, try lightly rubbing the inside of the glass. This will lightly flex the glass, opening the damage.
Always protect all vehicle surfaces from exposure to resin. It is also helpful to fold a paper towel over the windshield wiper for added protection.
